Tally has two modes. There is an educational mode and a registered mode. If you have purchased the registered version of Tally, then you can register the activation key with your email id, and if you are not online, then it has the facility of registering offline. We have to buy a license to run Tally. But it is not required in the educational mode, because the aim of the company is to make it available to everyone for free. But in this version, we cannot use a modern feature of tally like tally net automatic bank resolution.
In educational mode, we can enter only on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of the month.
